MFT September Release Countdown Day 3

Hello again!

I am back for day 3 of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! Today I am  featuring the adorable new Pure Innocence Thankful Friend Stamp set and matching Die-namics along with the fun new Star Strips Die-namics!

Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! All of the new products will be available Tuesday, September 1st at 10:00pm EST!

I wanted to create a fall background for her, so I used my Peerless watercolors and tried to create what looked like a tree in all of it's Autumn splendor behind her. I stamped the sentiment with Black Licorice hybrid ink, and mounted this to a smooth white card base. The little girl is colored with Copic markers and adhered with foam tape.

Of course, I had to add just a few tiny white dots with my white gel pen, because that's just what I do :)

My next card is created with the Star Strip Die-namics. This one is so perfect for teenagers, girl or boy!

When I was finished with this, I took it to show my 13 year old daughter and she LOVED it! I knew she would :) I cut the Star Strips out of Bubblegum, Razzle Berry, Steel Grey, and Cement Grey card stocks. I glued them down flat and added the stars from the other colors back into the missing spaces. I added some striped paper at the bottom from the Dots & Stripes Neutral paper pack, and softly sponged a bit of Razzle Berry dye ink along the top before adding my Star die cut. I added the You're and A Labels with foam tape.

Lastly I added a few Pretty Pink Posh sequins. This is not what I would call a "Kay card" , but I really had fun with it, and loved how it turned out!

And there you have it from Day 3 of the MFT Release Countdown! So much fun stuff coming your way on September 1st at 10:00 pm EST!!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to stop by the MFT blog to see more wonderful things you can do with these fun new products!

See you tomorrow!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  7. Ooooh, Kay! That first card is such a Kay card! Adore the watercolor background. It has a fabulous background that shouts fall. That sweet girl is colored so prettily. :) And no, I wouldn't normally associate your second card with your style of card, it is still pretty darn terrific! It's colorful and vibrant and full of fun and all of those things I do associate with you. It's good to work outside your normal routine, right? Awesome work on both cards. HUGS!! :)
