MFT August Release Countdown Day 3!




Hello again!

I am back for day 3 of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! Today I am  featuring the adorable new Pure Innocence Mummy Stamp set and matching Die-namics along with the super cute Frightfully fun Halloween stamp set and Die-namics!

 Now on to the projects!

A little mummy girl! Now how cute is that? :) I watercolored the background with my Kuretake watercolors this time. They are not as bright as Peerless and dry much lighter, so I had to let it dry and go over it several times to get the intensity that I like. The spooky tree you see peeking over the edge there is from the Spooky House Die-namics that we will be showing you on Day 1 :) The little mummy and the bats were all colored with Copic markers and adhered with foam tape. The sentiment and the bats are all from the Frightfully Fun Halloween stamp set.


My next card features the Frightfully Fun Halloween Stamp set and matching Die-namics!


I used the Double Stitched Oval STAX die to cut the oval out of some paper  I had watercolored. All of the stamps were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching dies. The little zig zag circle was stamped with Grape Jelly and Razzleberry dye ink using the MISTI.  The sentiment is white heat embossed on Black Licorice Card stock. Everything is mounted on a Smooth white top folded card base.



I added the little white stars from Blueprint 25! The black striped strip at the bottom is stamped from the Split Diagonal Background stamp.

    Kay? Can you tell me what watercolor paper you used in the top card? That has the very very thin lines (instead of bumps) in the background? I've been trying to find some. That card is oh, so cute.

    Fantastic cards, Kay! I do like how bright and bold your colors are. You are so patient! :) I think the scene on the first card is spookily fun. I can't quite get over the winking ghost on the second. So much fun. Excellent showcase of the release.

    Oh Kay...both of your cards are SO cute and awesome!! I adore the cute mummy...so sweet! Your backgrounds and coloring is...well...AMAZING as always!!!
    I am SO behind right now! The girls are home on their summer break and even though i am not liking the heat,we of course try to do as much as possible with them outside!! SO glad when it gets cooler again!! ;)
