MFT Sketch Challenge #237

Hello Friends!

I'm playing along with the MFT Sketch Challenge today! I normally like all of my lines to be straight. I don't like tilted, slanted or anything askew. I'm just weird :) But I did like this sketch and decided to break out of my straight edge box and give it a try!

Here's the sketch.

And here is my take!

I used some fresh summer colors for this one! I splattered the background with some Coral Crush dye ink before layering all my papers and elements.  The yellow cross stitched rectangle is stamped with Lemon Chiffon ink using the Garden Flourish Background stamp.

I really had fun with this sketch and liked the way it turned out even though it is wonky! :)

Be sure to stop by the MFT Challenge Blog to see what the fabulous challenge team has done with this sketch and play along if you are so inclined! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  3. This is a bright and happy card, Kay. I guess I never realized that all your cards are straight and not tilted. Good for you for going out of your comfort zone bit. You did it fabulously! I like the stamping on the tilted piece. Sooo pretty and a good reminder that that adds some great interest. Adore your cluster of elements and the splattered background. Wonderful card! Have a happy day! Hugs!
