Hello friends!
Welcome to the My Favorite Things Design Team Creative Challenge!
Come sail away with the MFT crew this month as they demonstrate their nautical prowess. Cards and projects featuring a decidedly water-oriented look are the theme of this month’s Creative Challenge. Peer into the porthole of creativity as we explore all of the stamps, Die-namics, and stencils that will have you yearning for an exciting day at sea or a relaxing day spent lounging at the shore.
I can't get enough of these cute little Birdie Brown penguins! And how perfect he was for this card don't ya think? I sponged some Salty Ocean Distress ink onto an oval cut out with the largest Cross Stitch Oval STAX die. I then cut out an oval with Tropical Teal and Blu Raspberry card stock. I then used the stitched scallop die-namics to cut the waves across them. I colored the little penguin with Copics and cut him out and mounted him and the other elements with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped on a pierced banner die cut with Tropical Teal dye ink. Lastly I added a few clear 4mm Pretty Pink Post sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure and stop by the MFT blog to see what the rest of the amazing MFT design team has done with this challenge!
Hugs,
Kay :)

ReplyDeleteYou've most definitely demonstrated your nautical prowess with this darling penguin card, Kay! Cute and classy in every way! The cocktail sporting penguin really is a gem! Living in the mountains means beaches just 'don't happen' - and I'm a bit fearful of vast stretches of water. Your card, however, has sparked a desire to 'see' a beach and lounge about...evidently I "need' a holiday somewhere warm! Another card of yours to adore...
