Guest Spot On The Penny Black Blog!

Hi my friends!

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend.  I am super excited to be guesting on the Penny Black Blog all week long! Yay! I had the opportunity to work with stamps and dies from their latest release and they are fabulous and so fun! I am such a fan of Penny Black cuteness!

My first card is full of sweet flowers with a watercolor effect! To see the whole card and read all about how I did it, hop on over to the Penny Black Blog!

Thanks so much for everyone who commented on my flooding photo on Facebook and wished us well. The water has gone down but left a mess. The rain is over for a few days, and we are hot and humid now.  As far as I'm concerned fall cannot get here fast enough! :)

Here is a picture of our front yard incase you didn't see it on Facebook.

There is a small creek that runs in front of the house with a little bridge over it.  All of that is under the water in this picture.  The amount of water coming through was staggering! I'm ready for things to dry up now :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have great week and I'll see you back tomorrow for another Penny Black peek!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  1. Oh my gosh, Kay! First of all, congratulations on the Penny Black guest designer spot. I know you will do a fabulous job with that! That flooding in front of your house, though...that does not look good! Is that water getting into your house? I sure hope not! Not a fun situation for sure. I hope it recedes and soon. Please be careful. Hugs! Now, I'm off to look at what is sure to be a happy card... :)

  7. Ugh...scary situation, yet a strangely pretty picture in some way with all that green.... Glad that it is resolving itself. Send the rain out west...we need it.

  9. Your card is fabulous Kay, I love the colours. Still shocked over the flooding, we are getting just hammered tonight with rain. The sewers are having trouble keeping up.

  11. Flooding...I can so empathize with you, Kay...it's been two years since the torrential rains combined with snow melt devastated our town and saw me displaced for a few days, yet even now, when the rains are too hard or last for too long, I get the heebie-jeebies. I'm glad the waters are receding and that your home and family are safe! Your PB card: refreshing and beautiful! Hopefully once the water disappears, you'll be surrounded by gorgeous flowers as well!
    Hugs~c
