My Favorite Things New Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello again!

I am back again for day 4 of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! I can't tell you how much I adore the products we are featuring today! The Whole Herd stamps set and matching Die-namics from Birdie Brown are adorable, as is the Barn die and all of the cute things to create your own little farm scene!

Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Blog to see a full reveal of today's products, and to see what all the other fabulous design team members have done! All of the new products will be available May 5th at 10:00pm EST!

I have two cards to share with you today, because there were so many cute things, I couldn't squish it all onto one card! :)

Aren't those little farm animals the cutest!! Oh I just love them, and had SO much fun coloring them!! I first sponged some Sno Cone dye ink on my white card stock for a background. I stamped all of the little animals on smooth white card stock, colored them with Copic Markers, and cut them out with The Whole Herd Die-namics. I cut a green hill out with the Rolling Hills Die-namics and the white fence as well. I glued the fence down first and layered the green hill on top. I then stamped the sentiment from The Whole Herd stamp set and then added the animals with foam tape. I mounted the whole thing on a top folded Natural card.

For my next card, I used the adorable Barn Die-namics! How cute is that!?

I started with a top folding card out of Sno Cone card stock. I cut a piece of Sour Apple card stock the same size and used the Rolling Hills Die-namic to cut the curved hill. I then used the Small Checkerboard Stencil and sponged some Sour Apple dye ink on it and glued it to the card. I then cut out the barn with Red Hot card stock and I sponge a little white pigment ink over it, and then a little Red Hot dye ink over that to help bring out the texture of the boards.  I then cut the white pieces out and adhered them to the barn as well as the little clump of hay in the window. I colored the little animals and accessories with Copics and cut them out with the matching Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom with Black Licorice dye ink and added the animals and elements with foam tape. I stamped the banner at the top with another sentiment from The Whole Herd stamp set and cut it out with a banner die from Blueprints 20.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Don't forget to stop by the MFT blog to see more wonderful things you can do with these fun new products!

  7. Adorable cards! You definitely have an affinity for barnyard themes. :) I'm in awe of your sponging. What kind of sponge do you use? Is it that distress ink tool? I don't see too many speckles and no hard lines. You have a wonderful touch for that! Your critters look so cute. Said it before, your scenes are fabulous! :)
