Merry Monday #144




Hi Friends!

 I'm playing along at Merry Monday where the theme this week is bows!

I had this adorable new stamp set from Your Next Stamp that I hadn't used yet. It was just perfect for this challenge!


Isn't that little penguin darling with his big present? First off I stamped the houses from Penny Black onto a white card stock panel with VersaMark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I then sponged over it with Smokey Slate dye ink. Next, I cut the stitched hills and clouds out, stamped the sentiment on the hill, and added them with foam tape. I colored the penguin with Copic markers, cut him out with the matching dies and added him to the panel with foam tape. Last, I mounted the whole panel on a white card base with foam tape.

    Wow, Kay! Wonderful card. I adore what you did on the background...it looks perfectly snowy! Your sweet little penguin guy with his happy gift pop nicely against the background. I like the use of the foam tape to add some depth. Lots of fun details to this delightful card. :) Hugs!

    This is a work of adorable art, Kay! I would have been happy with just the hill and the cutie-pie penguin with his present, but you took it to another level by adding the cloud! Oh, but wait.
