Festive Friday #28

Hello and Happy Friday!

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday

Check out the gorgeous inspiration photo! So pretty! I love anything with pinecones on it! I knew exactly which stamps I wanted to use for this :)

Here is what I came up with!

I cut the brown background shape out with a die from Sizzix. The sentiment is from Waltzing Mouse, cut out with the stitched circle die from Lil Inkers. The pine and pinecones are from Peaceful Pinecones and the bow is from Bells and Boughs from Papertrey Ink.

I hope you will play along with us at Festive Friday!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I am heading off to the big city with my honey :) It's our late Valentine's weekend celebration! We're going to shop, eat a lot and just relax and have a good time :)

I was also going to post about the new ornaments I added to my Etsy store, but they are almost all gone now. YAY!! Haha! I am SO extremely happy with how well they have sold! Thank you so much to all of you who have purchased them or left such nice comments about them. I am busy making more, so I'll add them as I can! :)

Hugs,

Kay :)

My Etsy Store is Open!

Hello!!

I am so excited to announce that I have finally opened up my Etsy store! I have been busy making ornaments, photographing them, editing photos, making a banner and filling out all of that stuff you have to do to sell on Etsy :D Now I'm done and I have 20 of my ornaments all ready for sale!

Here is a small sampling of what I've put on so far.

If you'd like to see them all you can visit my store HERE.

Thank you all so much for the sweet comments, emails and all the incredible support you've given me about my clay ornaments. I also want to let you know that, it says that I only ship to the US, but I want to let my lovely Canadian friends who have expressed interest to know, that I will gladly ship to Canada too. I just have to keep this simple, because I get overwhelmed real easy :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week!

Hugs,

Kay :)

The Card Concept #6

Hello and happy Wednesday!

I can't believe it's been a whole week since I've posted here. I have been super busy getting my ornaments all photographed and my Etsy store ready. I'm so close.... :)

Anyway, it is time again for the wonderful Card Concept Challenge! I love seeing all the beautiful cards that everyone submits. It is so hard to pick a favorite out of all the beautiful work I see. I'm so glad that so many of you are enjoying this challenge.

So this week we have a birthday card! You know, it's funny, but I don't make a lot of birthday cards. I just make a lot of generic cards, and then when it's someone's birthday, I stamp "Happy Birthday" inside it!

Here is the cute inspiration photo for this challenge:

And here is what I did with it. I loved the salmon color, so chose it as my primary color. I wanted to use the turquoise , but couldn't work it in with the stamps I had chosen, so I just went with the salmon and green from the photo.

All of the stamps I used here are from Purple Onion Designs. I colored them all with my Copic markers and cut them out. I mounted them all with foam tape on the stitched background mat from Lil Inkers.

Festive Friday

Hello and Happy Friday!

It's time for a new challenge at Festive Friday

Would you take a look at this lovely photo we have for inspiration this week! I absolutely LOVE snowflake stamps! I have more of them than anything else! They rival flowers in my stash :D Anyway, I got some pretty new snowflake stamps and dies from My Favorite Things for Christmas, and I thought they would be perfect for this photo!

and here is what I came up with!

The white background is cut out with a rounded rectangle die from Spellbinders. I then stamped the pretty background images with Fairisle Backgrounds from WPlus9. I inked my stamp up and then I sponged over it to get rid of most of the ink as I wanted it to be real light. The pine branches and sentiment are also from WPlus nine and the snowflakes are from My Favorite Things.

I hope you will play along with us at Festive Friday!

You can also check out the amazing talent from the other design team members at Festive Friday!

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend! Looks like a rainy one here for us, but at least it will not be frozen! haha! :D

Hugs,

Kay :)

Purple Onion Designs and Hope For Spring

Greetings! I hope everyone is having a lovely week!

We have finally had some wonderful Spring weather in the Ozarks! Monday it was 70 and Tuesday it was 73! Now I am a Winter lover, and I enjoy the cooler temps, but words can't express how delightful the warmth felt! I am so ready for Spring. It's cooled off a bit and will be in the 50's for the next few days, but after sub zero temperatures and snow after snow, I can live with that :)

I have a cute little Springy card to share with you today, that I created with some stamps from Purple Onion Designs.

I stamped everything with Early Expresso Ink from Stampin' Up! and I colored them with my Copic markers. The background dies are those fabulous rounded corner dies from Avery Elle that I was raving about in my last post.  The stitched background die is from Lil Inkers. I cut the cute little images out and popped them up with foam tape.

The Card Concept #6

Hello and happy Wednesday! Well, the ice storm missed us, but we ended up with about four inches of sleet with a couple of inches of snow on top. Not exactly what I want this time of year, but considering it could have been so much worse, I'm not complaining :) Saturday I spent the whole day sitting at my work area, watching the snowflakes fall outside the window and making Christmas ornaments! It was heavenly:) As for extending my Christmas through January, I think I'll make it on through March too ;)

It is time for  another challenge at The Card Concept! Yay!

Check out the inspiration photo this time around! Isn't that fabulous! As soon as I saw it, I immediately thought, this has to be a guy card. I have a hard time not putting a flower on my cards, but I do love geometrical designs, so I really had fun with this one :)

Here's what  I came up with!

I LOVE these dies from Avery Elle! I have used them so many times ( not always posted here), and I love the way I can come up with so many different designs and fun colors. The sentiment is from Avery Elle also.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Stop by and see what the other designers have created and  I hope you'll join us for the challenge at The Card Concept!
