The Card Concept #25- Shaker Card!

It's time for the last  challenge for 2014 at The Card Concept! I am sad to say that this will be my last post for The Card Concept. I have enjoyed being on this team so much, and want to thank the very sweet Lesley Croghan for having me for the first year.

This weeks challenge is to create a card inspired by this lovely color scheme of neutrals.

I've been loving neutrals lately, and with the theme Silent Night, I immediately thought of a Nativity scene. And guess what? It's a shaker card! Yep! My first ever! And boy was it tricky. I had to pull it apart and put it back together right, more than once! haha! I think I finally have it in my head how it works and where to glue the acetate. Next one should be a breeze :)

I think there is a bit of static electricity in there though, because some of my shaky things don't want to fall back down...

Anyway, I am not going to go into detail about how I made this, simply because I don't remember. haha!
There are lots of videos on Youtube you can watch if you want to learn how to make one. Everyone makes them a little bit different. I think that's why I got so confused :)

I used the lovely Reason For The Season stamp set and matching dies, from Simon Says,  for this card.

This challenge will end on Monday, December 22 at Noon (PST).
Stop by and see what the other designers have created and  I hope you'll join us for the challenge at The Card Concept!

I am also linking this card up to the Simon Says Challenge Bling it On.

Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Hugs,

Kay :)

  16. Beautiful card, Kay! I know what you mean about the shaker -- I made my first one this holiday season, too, and some of my sequins had a love affair with the acetate or the side of my foam tape. I'm wondering if using an anti-static on the acetate before using (like when embossing) might help them to cling less.
