New Designer for The Cutting Edge Challenge!

I have my last bit of exciting news for a bit! I have been invited to be on the design team for The Cutting Edge Challenge! I am so thrilled! When Jackie first started it, I was so excited, because if you haven't noticed... die cutting is just my thing! LOVE it! I was guest designer for the first challenge and have played along when I could with the others, so I was thrilled to join in as a designer with such an amazingly talented group of girls! Yippee!

So it's time to share the next Cutting Edge Challenge!  We have another beautiful inspiration project, this one done by Amy Polling.  I can’t wait for you all to play along, so let’s get to it, shall we?!

Okay, here’s the deal!  Let yourself be inspired by Amy's card, and create a card that includes die cutting (all forms accepted).  There’s so much about this project to be inspired by!  Here’s what I created:

Warning: You might want to shade your eyes, it's bright!

I really wanted to stick with the popsicle theme like Amy used on her card. I thought they were super cute, but the only popsicle dies I had were really tiny and I wanted something larger. I found these cute ones in the Silhouette store. I I cut them out on my Cameo and glued them to the white panel with foam tape. I cut the good times border ( My Favorite Things) out with the green card stock then added the purple scalloped border, then the dotted stitched border (MFT) on on top of that. I then mounted the whole panel on an A2 sized white card.

We’d love to have you play along with us! If you click on through to The Cutting Edge Challenge Blog, you’ll find lots of information, including:
  • The Winner of the last challenge, as well as the Top 3, are being announced;
  • The first half of the The Cutting Edge Design Team is sharing their samples for the challenge, and they are pretty fabulous;
  • The rules and regulations of the Challenge are listed; and
  • The InLinkz link-up tool for you to link up YOUR project!
 Ellen Hutson has very graciously and generously offered to sponsor the first challenge of each month !!  She’ll be providing the winner of this challenge with a $25 gift certificate to be used for any of the amazing products that Ellen carries in her one-stop-shop!!  Thank you, Ellen – we are so incredibly thankful for your support of our challenge!

The challenge closes on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at 9:00 AM EDT, so what are you waiting for?!  You can find everything you need to play along HERE.  We can’t wait to see what you create!!

Hugs and have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Kay :)
