Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!
It is time again for another challenge at Merry Monday!
This week the theme is to incorporate an ornament in your card.
Again, this was not a hard challenge for me as I have many ornament stamps and dies, the only hard part was choosing "which" ornament stamp or die I was going to use ;)
Now before you look at my card and go " wait a minute, that's the same card she posted last Wednesday for The Card Concept??" Let me explain. I honestly didn't realize I made two cards that were so similar!! I made this one back in December when Lesley first gave me the inspiration photos, and the one with the Perler beads that I just posted last week, I just made .... well, last week! I didn't even realize they were similar until I was loading the photos into my blog post! Then low and behold I saw it! Well, it was too late to make a whole new card and besides, I really liked both of my cards, so I hope you don't mind seeing something so close to what I posted last week :) I promise my next card will be vastly different :)
So here it is!
Again, I am using some of my new Christmas goodies here. The fabulous ornaments, heart doily, stitched banner, and sentiment are from My Favorite Things. I adore their stamps and dies! Ooooh they stamp so nicely! The wreath and bows are from WPlus9. ( love them too ) I just stamped and cut out everything and layered them in a pleasing manner :)
Check out what the other talented designers created this week!
Kay Miller- Me, the guest
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will join us at Merry Monday this week!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Kay :)
Love, love, love!!! I don't care that it may or may not look similar to another card you've made, it still makes me smile to see what you have created! I adore the hearts on the background piece and that wreath is gorgeous. How fun to have the ornaments hanging from the front. It's all so lovely! Excellent work, my friend!!
ReplyDeleteNo worries that it looks similar...I think it is stunning!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the month has gone by so fast, Kay! I've so enjoyed having you on the MM team! I love these tiny ornaments and the pretty wreath! I designed cards for an upcoming class and after sending the photos out, realized that I used the same layout for 2 cards! Hopefully they won't mind. Like yours, they have very different looks.
ReplyDeleteKay, this is just gorgeous! Love everything about your card especially the pretty, bright colors!
ReplyDeleteKay, you always make the most incredible beautiful and well executed cards. I just stare at them...and study! Love the colors and your design choices!
ReplyDeleteOkay, we'll let you off the hook!! Just kidding!!! ;) Actually, aside from a few similarities, I think they are both unique, and SO cool in their own ways! That wreath, framed with the heart die is just so pretty! I also love how you have the ornaments strung across the wreath and tied at both ends with those sweet bows! The soft pink is the perfect background colour for this! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteKay, this is just awesome and I love that you used the MFT ornaments like this. I love this set and love seeing different ways of using them. Love these colors together too! Awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Kay! I just love the colors of this and your pretty ornaments! It's perfect! Thank you for being our Featured Designer this month, it was great having you join us and we hope you'll come back & play with us occasionally! Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteKay, I wouldn't worry too much...I honestly don't think they look THAT similar. And who would mind anyway, they are BOTH gorgeous! I didn't get a chance to play last week but I hope to this week...I have plenty of ornaments in my stash that I would love to play with again! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteIt's been wonderful seeing your gorgeous creations on the MM blog this past month, Kay. And this card is no exception - love the color scheme and those beautiful little ornaments across the wreath are just adorable.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to explain yourself to me...evah!!! Your cards are always GORGEOUS, and this is no exception...I adore the wreath and how you layered all the elements on this card, Kay! Beautiful color combo, too!
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous Kay, love the pink card base that really makes the other colors pop!

ReplyDeleteGosh, when I first look at your cards the same word always springs to mind....pristine!
This is such a sweet card Kay, love the wee stamped ornaments and the pretty colours.
I would never get tired of looking at your cards...they are all fabulous! Love the non-traditional colors you used here and the images and diecuts are stunning!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful, love the ornaments, love the sentiment, love it all! :)
ReplyDeleteSo lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour talent in using ornaments and bows and hearts and stitches and wreaths and still keeping your card clean and uncluttered is unparalleled, Kay! This is sensational!! You received some awesome NBUS goodies for Christmas!! Enjoy the day! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteLovely card Kay, these colours are wonderful and the ornaments are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow very pretty, Kay!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect card,Kay!! I LOVE the heart doily...so pretty!! You rock...as always!! :)
ReplyDeleteso sweet Kay! All the things we love about Christmas! TFS!
ReplyDeleteSO Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm late with my comments (living in "hectic-ville" of late), but I'm taking time to gaze, admire and sigh over how absolutely beautiful your card is. Similar to your previous one? Hold on...be back in a sec..well, maybe, if I squint my eyes just so I can see some resemblance, however, this one is as awesome as its *distant* cousin. Hearts, wreath, ornaments, colours, layering - everything about this card is fabulous! Truly, whatever you create, dazzles and delights. You could make 20 of exactly the same card, and I think we'd all agree they'd still be unique, fresh, amazing and completely "special Kay" stellar!
