Seize The Birthday #12

It is time for another challenge at Seize The Birthday! This week we are using the same sketch as last week, but this week it's a masculine card we are creating!

I haven't had much time to create for the past week or so. My hubby had gallbladder surgery this past Friday right in the middle of a snow storm, so things were kind of crazy for me worrying about the weather and if we were going to make it to the hospital and back home. I am happy to say though that everything worked out real well. He's now gallbladderless and doing fine! haha! 

For this card, I used paper from Doodle Bug Designs. The giraffe is an older stamp from Stampin' Up, the small flower is from Stampin' Up, the leaf and die are from Papertrey Ink and the leafy image I stamped in the background is an older Hero Arts stamp. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up also.

Seize The Birthday #11

It is time for another challenge at Seize The Birthday! This week we have a brand new sketch and it's to be a feminine card.

I had so much fun creating this one with my circle plate die from Papertrey Ink. I have had this for a while and hadn't played with it yet. I cut several out with different papers and then stuck them in the white cut out parts. I also used the Everyday Photo Finishers and matching dies from Papertrey Ink. The flower is from Fancy Folkart (PTI) and the leaves are from Verve Stamps.

*NEW* Fusion Challenge!!

Greetings all and happy Friday!

I have some new and exciting news to share! The amazing Lesley Croghan and Jackie Rockwell have teamed up together to start a brand new challenge! I am SO thrilled to be on the design team with an amazing group of talented girls! This challenge is going to be SO much fun!! Right now they are looking for a guest designer to start the new challenges off and all you have to do to apply is to like the Fusion facebook fan page! How easy is that? Muse #8 and CTD #232

I have combined another two challenges to create this card that I'm sharing with you today. I used the beautiful Muse card this week by Therese Calvird and the lovely color scheme from Color Throwdown.

I used Therese's wonderful sketch design with the reverse cut out and large flower. Love that design! 

The flower and leaves stamps are from the stamp set Surely Goodness and the sentiment is from Dream Big, all from Verve.

Dynamic Duos and Deconstructed Sketch

Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend! I had a little bit of time to play in craft room yesterday and combined two challenges this week, the Dynamic Duos and Deconstructed Sketch.

I love these two colors together and Jen had a fabulous sketch this week. I had a lot of fun putting this together with some of my new Verve stamps. 

The stamps and dies I used were Dream Big from Verve.

Festive Friday #3

Greetings and happy Wednesday! I haven't had much time to make cards lately. Hubby is having some test done and we've had to go back and forth to the hospital (nothing serious) and when I am home, it seems like I'm behind on everything.

Anyway, it is time for another challenge at Festive Friday! This time it was to incorporate a snowflake into your card. Well, that was an easy thing for me, as I have mentioned before I do love snowflakes! And yes, Geri, I do realized I could have added that last card to the Festive Friday Challenge, but I really needed an excuse to make another snowflake card! ;)

So all of the stamps here are Papertrey Ink. The snowflakes are from Snowflake Medley and the sentiment from Love Lives Here- Holiday. The papers are from Bo Bunny.

Merry Monday #51

It's Friday!! Yay!! 

And I have a card to share for Merry Monday today! I had no trouble getting in the frosty mood to create this card today as it is snowing outside right now and has been since I woke up. It's not much, and there is minor accumulation, but it's pretty outside and I'm cozy inside :)

The challenge this week was the tic tac toe board, which is one of my favorites! I think it's so fun to get to pick and choose. Yeah, I'm easily entertained and amused! Anyway, I chose the line across the bottom, snowflakes, pink and turquoise, and designer paper. I have always loved pink and aqua together , perhaps because I'm from Florida, I don't know, and anything with snowflakes in it I am crazy about. I have more snowflake stamps than any other kind :)

I had a lot of fun playing around with this card. I used the banner builder dies and Snowflake Medley stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink. The little white border is a new and fabulous die that I got from Verve. I really love it because it's small. Most of my border dies are almost too large to use on a card. And the banner is also a new die I got from Verve. I love playing with new stuff! The big snowflake in the background is a Spellbinders die.
