MFT August Release Countdown Day 4!

Hello again!

I am back again for day 4 of the My Favorite Things Release Countdown! I can't tell you how much I adore the products we are featuring today! Birdie Brown's new Polynesian Paradise stamp set is totally adorable!! I had so much fun playing with this set! I adore Tropical themed stamps and dies! And the Tiki Hut Die-namics.... hold onto your seat!!!

I made three cards with these new cuties! I couldn't stop!! They are THAT adorable!

Oh my goodness how cute is that Tiki Hut?? I am totally in love with that die!! And the little hula girl is so perfect with it!  The background is Distress ink with water sprinkled on it. All of the stamps were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching Die-namics.

For the sand, I used Primitive white card stock and sprinkled it with some Natural dye ink that I mixed with a little water. 

My next card features some more cute critters from the Polynesian Paradise stamp set along with the new Dots & Stripes Fresh 6x6 Paper Pack!

Isn't that little chameleon the cutest thing! I just love him! The background is watercolored with Peerless watercolors on Tim Holtz Watercolor paper. The stamps are all colored with Copic markers. The frame is cut out with the stitched Rectangle Frame dies using the Fresh Paper pack!

Now for a more clean and simple card. I just could not "not" use that adorable little parrot!!

Again I used some of the paper from the new Dots & Stripes Fresh 6x6 paper pack. I love that stuff! The little bird is colored with Copic markers and everything is added to a white Double Stitched Rectangle.

MFT August Release Countdown Day 5!

Hello Friends!

This is the first  day of the My Favorite Things  August Release Countdown!  This new release is packed with amazing new stamps and dies. Everything you need to celebrate the end of summer and start getting ready for the fall holidays! I am so excited to share my projects with you! I LOVE everything about this new release!! Today we are featuring the beautiful new Scribble Roses Stamp set, Die-namics, Scribble Roses Overlays, and Encouraging Words stamp set!

I stamped and clear heat embossed the sentiment from the Encouraging words stamp set, then watercolored my background with Razzleberry and Orange Fizz dye ink. The roses and leaves were heat embossed with clear onto watercolor paper, and watercolored with my Zig Clean Color Brush markers. Everything was mounted with foam tape for dimension. I used some 4mm clear sequins when I was finished.

For my next card, I used the Scribble Roses Overlay dies instead of embossing.

I cut the base flowers and leaves out of smooth white card stock and sponged Summer Splash, Grape Jelly, and Limelight dye ink on them. I cut out the overlays in white and glued them down. I stamped the sentiment from the Encouraging Words stamp set in Summer Splash and Grape Jelly. I used my MISTI, so I could get the ombre effect.  For the top part of the card, I used the Wonky Chevron background stamp and stamped with Sno Cone dye ink onto Sno Cone card stock. I cut the angle out with the Stitched Basic Edges Die-namics. I glued this down to my white panel and adhered the roses and leaves with foam tape. I added some 4mm and 6mm Pretty Pink Posh sequins for the finale! :)
