Reverse Confetti and Freshly Made Sketches #200

Hello friends! I hope you're enjoying the last part of your summer vacation. I know I'm enjoying the thought of fall arriving soon :)
Anyway, Reverse Confetti is the sponsor for Freshly Made Sketches this week so I made a card to play along! It's a fun sketch with lots of different ways you could interpret it!

Here is what I came up with!

I started by watercoloring some green Peerless on a piece of watercolor paper. When that was dry, I cut it down to fit the bottom 2/3's of my card. I glued this down to a white panel 4x5 1/4, and mounted that onto a white card base. I then cut the flowers and leaves from the Petals and Posies Confetti cuts out of some paper that I had previously watercolored on and let dry. I arranged them in a nice little cluster and adhered them with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the Fancy Word Coordinates stamp set with black ink along the right side at the top edge of my watercolored piece.

I added a few tiny white dots with my gel pen and some  sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. All of the Reverse Confetti products I have used are linked below with previews!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stop by the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge blog to see what all the other design team members have come up with, and play along with us!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  13. Another bright and beautiful card! Have you done a video teaching your watercolor technique? I can't seem to get my backgrounds to look anything like yours. I would love to take a video class by you for help with watercoloring, copics and how to choose the right colors (I have difficulty putting black and white together!). Thanks again for the wonderful card!

  14. Delightful card, Kay! I adore the bright green background and think cutting down the watercolor piece is very clever. Ohhh, your watercolored flowers are so pretty and cheerful. I adore the cluster! That's a great sentiment, too. :D I really think my white gel pen must be on the fritz because my dots surely don't look like your dots. Or, it could absolutely be operator error. LOL Um, I know how much you love fall, so I won't talk about how cool and fall like it was around these parts. Nope, not gonna do that. Hope you have a fantastic day! :) Hugs!!
