Festive Friday #44

Hello, Happy Friday and I'm home :)We made it home late last week and it was so nice.  It took me days to get caught up on the laundry and I even had an appointment for a root canal waiting for me, but I was still happy :) That's how much I love home.  I sure missed my card making too!

With that said, it is Friday already and  time again for another challenge at Festive Friday!

Here is the inspiration photo for this time. Isn't that Lovely? I have done several wreath cards this year, but I still wanted to use a wreath again on this one.

And here is what I came up with!

I had this beautiful set from Simon Says and Clearly Besotted that I had not used yet, so I was excited to get it out. I added a little bit of shading to the wreath with my Copic markers and then added some stickles to the pine cones and berries. I adhered everything with foam tape for some dimension. That lovely background is a large stamp from Penny Black. I love how it stamped!

  • Supplies:
  • Stamps:Dotted Fusion-Penny Black, Wreath-Autumn Blessings-Simon Says Stamps and Clearly Besotted, Sentiment-Lawn Fawn
  • Dies: Stitched rectangle- Lawn Fawn.

I hope you will play along with us at Festive Friday!

You can also check out the amazing talent from the other design team members at Festive Friday!

One more little thing I wanted to share is a layout that I did of some photos I took of my daughter while we were traveling. In my past life, I was a digital designer and scrapbooker, but I haven't scrapped a page digitally in a very long time. I was a little rusty, but it came back to me pretty quickly. I don't have the desire to scrap like I used to, but it was fun and who knows, I might do another one before long :)

Thank so much for stopping by!

I hope you all have a safe and happy weekend!

Hugs,

Kay :)

  3. Oh wow, Kay, what a stunning card! I really like the wreath and then to add that stamp on the background adds just the right extra little something that knocks it out of the park. Amazing work. Oh golly, then to see your digital page. Sigh...you certainly have the magic touch when it comes to crafting. This is glorious! Makes me kind of wish you scrapped a bit more...I have long adored your layouts. But I also adore your cardmaking, It was your digital work that drew me in first. I'm so happy you are home, caught up, fixed up, and crafty! Have a wonderful weekend.

  10. Welcome back! Glad your holiday was wonderful, although coming home to a root canal sounds like a reason to extend the time away. Your layout is incredibly eye-catching; your daughter, incredibly beautiful! Like mother; like daughter! I'm also swooning in awe at the gorgeous wreath you've created with the Simon Says/CB combination. I have some new CB heading my way; not with that wreath, but another. Excited to play once they arrive. Happy Saturday (we're in Edmonton...snowy, cold Edmonton!)
