Neat & Tangled: Layered Landscape

Hi there! Welcome to the third day of the May  Neat & Tangled release countdown! All of the new products will be available in the Neat & Tangled Store on Friday May 11th at 8:00 am EST!

Today we are showcasing and really beautiful and unique new stamp set called Layered Landscape.

So I played around with this stamp set for a while before I decided what I wanted to do with it. What I did was, I used my MISTI stamping tool, and lightly sponged paint on the stamps before stamping. I didn't want to have to mask the mountains, ( because I'm lazy ) so I did a very soft edge at the bottoms. I also wanted reflections in the water below, but don't really like the mirror stamping technique, so I found a really cool way to cheat :) I just turned the stamp over and used the wrong side. Yes I did! And it worked beautifully!

The tiny trees that you see along the shore are from the Scandinavian Prints Christmas stamp set. I can't have mountains without some little pines :) After I was done with all of the stamping, I flicked some gray ink and some white ink over the whole thing.

Be sure to stop by the Neat and Tangled Blog to see all of the design team inspiration!

Don't forget - there is a giveaway every day this week of the set(s) being featured that day, and a $25 gift certificate up for grabs at the end of the week. Comment on all of the design team blogs all week for a chance to win.  Winners will be announced on the Neat & Tangled Blog Friday at 7:30am EST!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
