Season's Greetings!

Three more days until Christmas!! Oh my! How in the world did it get here so fast?? I think I'm ready.... maybe?

I created this whimsical stocking card with 3 Stockings stamp by Carolyn Draws and Christmas Trees Framed Doodle at Purple Onion Designs. I colored them with Copics, cut them out and popped them up with foam tape. I covered the card with patterened paper before mounting the white panel on top with foam tape also.

That's all I have for you today, gotta get busy with Christmas preparations! :)

So from Me and my number one pooch, Frito,  Merry Christmas to all! :)

Love ya!!

Kay :)

Some Tasty Christmas Treats!

Hello!!

Well, we are in the final countdown to Christmas, " crunch time"! I finished up my Christmas shopping today. Yay! I have no more baking to do until Christmas eve. The girl and I are all snuggled in the house listening to Christmas music and planning our weekend. The boys are gone for the weekend to pick up a relative that's going to spend Christmas with us, so we have us an all girl's weekend :)

Anyway, wanted to share a card I made a few days back with some of my cute Purple Onion Designs stamps. This is one of my all time favorite cards I've ever made, I do believe. I don't know if it's the colors or the cute food! Haha!

The funny thing, or the terrible thing, however you choose to look at it, is that during all of the snow and ice we had a week or so ago, my craft room window leaked, and this card was totally ruined. It was sitting on the counter under the window, and was drenched in water. I was SO relieved that I had taken pictures of it, but so sad that I could not send it to someone. My husband kept telling me that it was fine and that I ought to go ahead and send it to someone.... seriously honey??? It was so warped I wouldn't have even been able to get it in the envelope!! Men!! haha!

So if I get a wild hair one day, I might make it again. If not, I'll just look at the picture and remember :)

I used the stamp set Holiday Sweets by Carolyn Draws at Purple Onion Designs. I colored each of the images with Copics, cut them out, and layered them on the white panel with foam tape.

Kay :)

Curtain Call And Paper Smooches Sweet Snowflakes

Hello and Happy December 16th!

I cannot believe we are just barely a week a way from Christmas! It has flown by! Why oh why does my very favorite time of the year have to fly by so fast?? And I have so much to do that I don't get to enjoy it as I should. I have decided that this year, I'm extending my Christmas season on through January. That way all the hustle and bustle will be over and I can sit back and do all of the Christmas crafts I want to do and enjoy it. Seriously, I'm going to do this. I kind of have done this the past couple of years, because I'm never "over" Christmas after December 25th.

Anyway, couldn't pass up another chance to make a card with snowflakes on it! I probably have more snowflake stamps than any other kind. I love them!

All of the snowflake stamps are from Paper Smooches and the Merry die is from Papertrey Ink. I love pink and brown together, so I thought I would use that lovely combination on this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have a great week!

Countdown To Christmas

Hello all!

I hope you are enjoying these December days! I have a lot going on right now, so my posts ( along with my crafting time) are pretty short and sweet :) Well, they're short, I'm not sure about how sweet! haha!

All of the stamps I've used here are from the new set This is December at Purple Onion Designs. The snowflake die is from Spellbinders and the stitched circle and rectangle are from Lil Inkers.

And if you like this stamp set, today is the last day of the 25% off sale at Purple Onion Designs!

I'm adding this to the CAS-ology Challenge this week, where the theme is snowflake.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Snow and Snowflakes

Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day! We have 8 inches of snow on the ground and it's cold outside! Just like I like it this time of year :) I baked all morning and then took a few pictures of the kids playing in the snow for my December Daily album, and even found time to make a card!

I have seen this sketch idea many times on Pinterest, so I'm assuming it was from a challenge a while back. I have always loved it and wanted to try it, so I did :) I just cut the little rectangles out of patterned paper, cut out the tree, snowman and snowflake and popped them up with foam tape. The cute little message is from Paper Smooches.

I'm adding this to the Addicted to CAS challenge and CAS-usal Fridays.

Supplies:
Stamps: Paper Smooches
Dies: Tree-PTI, Snowman-Spellbinders, Snowflake-Eeek! I don't know! Sorry! :)
Paper: out of my unknown stash box, Cardstock-GinaK

The view outside my craft room window!! Aaaaaaahhhhh....

It's Snowy Again!

No, it's not snowing here. I wish it were. It's the little owl from Purple Onion Designs that I love so much again :)

Just had to use him one more time with some bright red and green Christmasy colors! He's colored with Copics, cut out and popped up with some foam tape.

Have a great week!

*NEW* Design Team - The Card Concept

Greetings!

I hope you are enjoying the first day of December! Yay! Our Christmas decorations are going up today!

I am super excited to share some exciting news! The wonderful and sweet Lesley Croghan has yet again come up with the neatest new card challenge, and I have been invited to be on the design team! I'm so thrilled!

The idea behind the challenge is to represent several different styles of card making. You can read all about the details here on the blog.

I will be representing the clean and layered style:

clean lines
lots of layers
designer papers/embossing
embellishments/accents
clean and fresh looking
some coloured images at times
white space

I have always loved the clean and simple look, but have never been able to stop at just one layer. I love white space, but it needs lots of little clusters right? heheh! This is most definitely my style and I am thrilled to be on this new design team and to hopefully inspire you to try your hand at the clean and layered style!

Here's an example of my work and of the clean and layered style you will be seeing from me.

I sure hope you will join us for our very first challenge in January 2014!!

Have a lovely Sunday!

Kay :)

It's That Time of The Year!

Yes it is! It's Christmas time, my favorite time of the year!! And do you know what I like to make more than anything else in the world, ( other than cards)?? Ornaments! Whether they be of clay or paper, I do love to make them!

I created this little cutie pie with the adorable little penguin image Frost, from Purple Onion Designs.
I layered multiple layers of cutouts until I got something I liked, and that looked somewhat like a snowflake ornament, and then I added little Frost to the front with foam tape. I'm going to hang this little guy on my tree after I get it up today!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!
