Curtain Call and Freshly Made Sketches

Hello all!

I had to pop in and post one more card before I finished my packing :)

I love sunflowers so I really wanted to do The Curtain Call challenge this time. Plus they are being sponsored by Clearly Besotted Stamps, and I bought my first set recently, so I wanted to use that for the challenge. So here's what I came up with.

I also used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. The stamps are Fancy Floral by Clearly Besotted and that paper is more of my Happy Harvest paper by Doodlebug Designs. I am also entering this card in the Simon Says weekly challenge which is to use a product available in their store. I bought the Fancy Floral stamps from them ( along with a hoard of other stuff) and the Doodlebug Designs paper is available there also.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Kay :)

More Lawn Fawn Cuteness

Hello All!

I've had a super busy week and haven't had much time to create anything :(. We're leaving for our two week vacation this Friday, and I've been running around like crazy trying to tie up all the loose ends, clean the house and get everything organized for the trip. I did manage to squeeze in a little craft time on Sunday and made these two cards with some more of my new Lawn Fawn goodies. I just love their cute stamps!

I was so happy that this set came with matching dies, so didn't have to cut everything out, but what did I end up doing?? I paper pieced the fox and the log, so ended up cutting out even more detail! Oh well, it was fun and I love the look of the paper piecing. I did add a little shading with my Copic markers. Both the fox and the log are from the Critters in the Woods set. The stitched die is from Lil Inkers and that adorable paper is my new fall paper pad from Doodlebug Designs. I had a very hard time cutting that paper! haha!

The cute little owl, mushroom, and log are all from the Critters in the Woods set also. The pumpkin is from a set called Tall Oaks from Verve Stamps. That super cool woodgrain stamp is another Lawn Fawn treasure. I'm loving woodgrain right now :) That paper is more Doodlebug cuteness.

I colored everything with my Copics. Cut the owl out with the matching die, but had to hand cut everything else.

Thanks so much everyone for stopping by today. I hope you have a wonderful week. I might not be around for a couple of weeks, as I'll be hitting the road on Friday, but if I have internet on my iPad I'll try to check in and peek at some blogs.

Kay :)

Sending Christmas Cheer and Cooler temps!

Oh it is a glorious day here today! We had a wee tiny cool front come through late yesterday and our temperatures are only in the 70's today. I know that's not quite fall weather, but it's a refreshing change from the 90's.

This is my little monochromatic Christmas card I made last night. My Mom saw it today and she said it was real nice, but why didn't it have some red in it. haha! I told her it was for a challenge and I could only use green and white. Anyway, it was fun to do, and I rarely do anything, okay I never do anything, with just one color. I'm all about the colors. The more the better, so this was a bit of a stretch for me, but I do like it! I glued the pine bough die down directly onto the cardstock, but I used foam tape to pop everything else out.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Friday!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello Fall

I love Fall! It's my favorite season. It should be cool here, but it's not. It's still in the 90's, so I'm dreaming and anxiously awaiting the crisp cool sweater weather by making fall cards :)

Seems like I have had very little creative time this week. It's been one thing after another. I have been wanting to play more with this cute new set from Lawn Fawn, and it's taken me three days just to put together this little card. I embossed the background with a new embossing folder I got from Life Style Crafts. I colored the little deer and the big leaf with my Copics and stamped the rest. I cut everything out... yes, by hand, and then attached them with pop dots. The hills I did with patterned paper cut out with circle dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by! So happy that tomorrow is Friday! Yay! :)

Animal Antics

Hope everyone had a nice restful weekend :)

I just recently got my order from Lawn Fawn with some of their adorable new releases. I love love this little fox! I saw him months before I could ever purchase him and have been in love ever since. It really isn't fair that stamp companies can torture us with new products weeks or months before we can get our hands on them :) Sometimes it doesn't work well for them though, because sometimes I see a stamp used so much before it comes out, that get tired of it and don't want it. Anyway... I still love my little fox guy :)

So I colored him with my Copics and, would you believe, had to cut him out by hand! I have gotten to the point that I will not buy any stamp that doesn't come a matching die, unless it is spectacular. And this set fell into that category, although the Lawn Fawn people really do need to get on the ball and make some dies for this set :) I just stamped everything  on the background white paper and added some foam tape behind my little guy to pop him out. A very simple little card, although it takes me a long time to color things and then cut them out ...

I am adding this card to the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge

Back To School and Apples

Happy Sunday!

I woke up bright and early this morning, ran in my new craft room, with that amazing "new room" smell and made this cute little apple card. I browsed the challenges last night to see what I might like to create today, and there were so many with apple themes. I just got this adorable apple stamp set from PTI and was wanting to play with it, so it was perfect for these challenges.

I submitted this to:

Fall Inspiration

It's been a super busy summer around here and I've had no time for blogging :(. My hubby enlarged my craft room for me this summer and we totally redid everything. It's so pretty and much bigger. I love it!! For several months all of my stamping supplies were piled in heaps in my bedroom, so I was not able to do much card making.

Now everything is finished and back in it's place along with some new Fall and Christmas goodies I've picked up in the last few weeks, so I am excited to be making some cards again!

I have always loved the clean and simple looking cards, but it's never been my style really, but lately I have seen so many really striking ones that I have been drawn to try it too. I got these wonderful new stitched leaves die from Lawn Fawn. They just came yesterday! So I was excited to try them out. I love how neat and clean this card turned out. The tag is the die from Half and Half - PTI and the scalloped border is from Lil Inkers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Kay :)
